NURSE PRACTITIONERS


A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse (RN) who has advanced education and clinical training in a health care specialty area.   Nurse Practitioners provide regular health care for children and adults during health and illness.  This includes diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, infections, and injuries; prescribing medications and referrals; diagnosing, treating, and monitoring chronic diseases including high blood pressure and diabetes; ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic studies; providing well-child care and immunizations; and providing health maintenance care for adults, including annual physicals.


Janet Cupone, FNP-C received her BS in Nursing from Liberty Universtiy in1991and her Master of Science degree from Grand Canyon University.   Ms. Cupone is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been in practice since 2016.


Sonja Kerth, DNP, FNP-C received her BS in Nursing from the Arizona State University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Arizona State University.  Ms. Kerth is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been in practice since 2016.


Amy Hanford, FNP-C received both her BS in Nursing  and her Master of Science degree from University of Phoenix.  Ms. Hanford is a baord certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been in practice since 2016.


Lindsay E. Teel, FNP-C received her BS in Nursing from the University of Arizona and her Master of Science degree from Arizona State University.  Ms. Teel is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been in practice since 2005.

Jay G. Bernstein, D.O. received his BS in Biology from Tulane University and his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed his residency/internship at Phoenix General Hospital in Phoenix.  Dr. Bernstein is a board certified family physician and has been practicing since 1983.



Warren C. Johnson, M.D., Ph.D. received his BA and Sciences and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Arizona and his medical degree from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine.  He completed his residency at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.  Dr. Johnson is a board certified family physician and has been in practice since 1997.



Anthony J. Katz, M.D. received his BA from Stanford University and his medical degree from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine.  He completed his residency at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.  Dr. Katz is a board certified family physician and has been in practice since 1997. 



Gypsy Paar, M.D. received her BS from the University of Arizona and her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital.  Dr. Paar is board certified in Family Medicine and has been in practice since 2004.
